State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture of Azerbaijan has started provision of electronic services.

Head of the Committee Abbas Alesgerov has stated that work on provision of e-services is implemented within execution of the order of the Head of the State from 23 May 2011 " On organization of e-services’ provision in state bodies".

Starting from next year Labor and Social Protection Ministry transfers some of its services to electronic format.

The report from Communication and Information Technologies Ministry says that starting from next year Labor Ministry will present services on reception of applications for targeted social assistance in electronic form.

"Work in this direction will be first of all held in 11 Baku districts and the country’s 14 cities and regions", - the report says.

'Electronic government' portal so far includes 15 Azerbaijani state authorities, according to the ICT Ministry.

Other state authorities have addressed the Communication and Information Technologies Ministry to join the portal and the process will run stage by stage within the preparation of IT-structure by these authorities.

According to the information, 'E-government' portal (ehdis.az) is expected to launch in March 2012. The portal has so far placed 10 state authorities offering 49 online services.

Today, results of the monitoring held in state structures offering electronic services were publicized.

The monitoring was held by "Transparency Azerbaijan" Anti-corruption Public Union, "Constitution" Researches Fund and Information and Cooperation Network of Anti-corruption NGOs to monitor the implementation state of Presidential Decree on "Some measures for organizing electronic services of state structures" signed on 23 May 2011.

During the monitoring held with the support of OSCE Baku Office, the implementation level of tasks defined in the Decree was investigated and a report was made in this regard.

"We plan to submit a ready draft program to the government to be designed for the period of 2012-16.

A task set before the Ministry of Taxes and the Central Bank of Azerbaijan to prepare the proposals to encourage cashless payments and develop the payment system has been transformed into a special state program.

CBA first deputy chairman Alim Guliyev informs that the latest draft of the program was prepared by the Central Bank and its discussion with the banks is under way.
