Around AZN 10m will be earmarked from 2012 state budget to implement Electronic Azerbaijan state program, according to the draft 2012 state budget.
The funds will be earmarked under the State Program on Development of Communications and Information Technologies in Azerbaijan in 2010-2012 (Electronic Azerbaijan) signed by the President to ensure implementation of the National Strategy on Information and Communication Technology in the name of Development of Azerbaijan Republic (2003-2012).
The funds will be spent to widely introduce ICT in state bodies and local authorities, to improve official internet resources, telecommunication and postal infrastructure and boost potential of competitive and export-oriented ICT technology in order to promote e-services.
