From today, all companies registered with ROC have to file their returns online

Hereafter, all the 47,600 companies so far registered with the Registrar of Companies (ROC), Andhra Pradesh, will have to file their returns online. The ministry of company affairs (MCA) is launching the MCA21 Project here on Thursday, which will provide all ROC services on the internet.

Project Asha is designed to provide agri-business services through CICs so that farmers can get real time information quickly. To achieve this task, Oracle collaborated with NIC Assam to create a reliable and secured single-source architecture of e-governance services.

India has always been an agricultural country. No wonder then that the government is doing its best to equip this sector, especially the farmers, with technology that will increase their productivity and also educate them about the latest methods on farming.

PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) in association with the Ministry of Company Affairs (MCA), organised a seminar on Tuesday to familiarise the industry about the new system of e-governance and facilitate interaction with the government officials on the actual functioning of the Registrar of Companies (ROC).

Civic services will soon be retailed through a network of “e-Seva” booths across the city.

Taking a cue from the Hyderabad civic body, the Calcutta Municipal Corporation (CMC) will offer a host of services — including renewal of trade licence, collection of property tax, distribution of mutation forms and granting permission for water supply connection — through the e-Seva booths, to be run by authorised agencies.

The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) on Tuesday signed two agreements with a non-profit organisation set up by Infosys, e-Government Foundation-Bangalore, for computerisation of its financial accounts.

Following the signing of the agreement by NDMC Secretary Keshav Chandra and Srikant Nadhamuni of e-Government Foundation, NDMC Chairperson Sindhusree Khullar said the objective of the project was to implement e-Government Financial, a double entry fund-based financial accounting system, in the Council and provide an efficient and transparent service to the public.
