Global cloud communications company Infobip has built an extensive operation in Vietnam with key solutions widely utilised by various organisations from telecom to e-commerce, and as digital transformation is critical to the survival of Vietnamese businesses today, Infobip is expected to be at the forefront of this trend. Pham Gia Dan, business development director of Infobip shared his insights with VIR’s Thanh Van into the Vietnamese market and Infobip’s solutions to the local businesses.

The Fourth Industrial Revolution is taking place around the world with a boom in digital technology, creating great opportunities for but also challenges to the development of each country, enterprise, and person.

Vietnam’s digital economy has been growing at the fastest pace in ASEAN, about 38 percent annually compared to the region’s average of 33 percent since 2015. The country expects the digital economy will make up 20 percent of its GDP and at least 10 percent in each sector.

On January 8, 2022, Advantech Vietnam signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Thai Hoa General Hospital in the southern province of Ninh Thuan to implement the "iHospital" project applying digital transformation on the largest scale to date to build Vietnam’s very first smart hospital.

Accordingly, Advantech Vietnam and Intel will take care of system design, providing "iHospital" solution, integrating smart medical devices customised to the needs of the investor.

The Sao Khue Award will select good products and services benefitting businesses for the acceleration of the country’s digital transformation

The Viet Nam Association for Software and IT Services (VINASA) yesterday officially launched Sao Khue Awards 2022 in Hanoi. This is the most prestigious award of the Vietnamese software and IT service industry, aiming at honoring businesses, organizations, and individuals with excellent achievements in this industry.

Vietnam’s determination to ride the global trend of digital transformation is seen in leaders’ pronouncements, general awareness among the population and actions on the ground.

Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has said: “It is necessary to promote national digital transformation, develop the digital economy and society to create breakthroughs in improving productivity, efficiency and competitiveness of the economy.”
