Justice and Local Council Minister Austin Gatt said that in the next two weeks, the first 10 web payphones will be installed in phone boxes all over Malta. In all 80 web payphones are expected to be installed, he continued, while addressing the launching of the first Internet Centre in Birkirkara.

Warden tickets and fines may be paid online. In its mission to provide a number of electronic services to the public, as part of the e-Government Programme, the Ministry for Justice and Local Government launched the Local Enforcement System website. The latter, which could be easily accessed from the government portal www.gov.mt contains information on the Local Tribunals and Local Councils.

The Public Registry is now offering a new online service: certifikati.gov.mt as part of the e-Government Programme launched by the Ministry for Justice and Local Government. Maltese nationals are now able to order and pay for birth, marriage and death certificates through the Internet.
