The Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr. Isa Ibrahim Pantami, has reiterated the federal government’s commitment to develop digital policies that would attract more foreign investments to Nigeria.

Pantami restated the government’s commitment during the recent launch of MDXi Lekki II Data Centre by MainOne in Lagos.

In one of the most audacious Telecom infrastructure projects in Africa, the Lagos State government under its public private partnership scheme awarded, a few years ago, the construction of a 3000km six-way unified duct fibre infrastructure project to Western Telecoms and Engineering Services Limited.

aDrop SmartCity Ride app, functions as a marketplace where people seek transportation for themselves or goods to certain destinations can be matched with drivers travelling to those destinations.

Mr Zeb Uzoukwu, chairman of Adrop Lagos, stated that aDrop SmartCity Ride app is designed specifically with the driver and rider in mind, to empower our partner drivers technologically and financially.

In one of the most audacious Telecom infrastructure projects in Africa, the Lagos State government under its public private partnership scheme awarded, a few years ago, the construction of a 3000km six-way unified duct fibre infrastructure project to Western Telecoms and Engineering Services Limited.

The project deployment kicked off in June 2020 with an 24-month completion timeline and has so far recorded several successes, such as the completion of over 2600km of the fibre infrastructure, the connection of over 1000 Telecom base station sites of MTN and Airtel to the fibre infrastructure, the signing of agreements with Liquid Telecom, Mainone, Dolphin Telecoms, Swift, Spectranet, etc for connectivity to the fibre network and ongoing negotiations with most of the mobile network operators and internet service providers in Lagos.

To boost the economy through employment generation, Edmark City Development Company has commenced a multi- billion naira smart city project investment.

The investment project would generate revenue to transform the economy, “as we embrace modernisation, Smart City developments and technology that would result to a better living condition by improving safety, health and the environment.”
