Nigeria and six foreign countries will be participating and showcasing their e-Government experiences at this year's Nigeria e-Government Summit that is geared towards accelerating online presence of the Nigerian government at all levels.

The foreign countries include France, South Africa, Egypt, Kenya, Malaysia, and Ethiopia.

Nasarawa state government has commenced state wide capacity building training on e-government on its civil servants from various ministries and MDAs in the state.

Speaking while declaring the 1st phase of the training open Monday in Lafia, the state Governor, Abdullahi Sule said his administration is committed to ensure digitalization process of government activities.

The Federal Executive Council (FEC) Wednesday approved N1.2 billion for the procurement of security gadgets for railway stations across the country.

Minister of Transportation, Mr Rotimi Amaechi, disclosed this while briefing State House correspondents at the end of the weekly FEC meeting presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari.

He said seven railway stations would benefit from the project, which has a completion period of twelve months.

The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), has trained workers from 89 Federal Public Institutions (FPIs) to build their capacities towards attaining the digital transformation agenda of President Muhammadu Buhari.

NITDA Director-General, Mr Kashifu Inuwa, said this at the closing of the phase one training for 442 members of the Digital Transformation Technical Working Groups (DT-TWGs) in Abuja on Thursday.

The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has successfully trained the ‘Batch A’ delegates of the Digital Transformation Technical Working Groups (DT-TWGs).

The trainees were drawn from some Federal Public Institutions (FPIs) to drive the digital transformation agenda in the public sector and digital economy at large.
