The Lagos State Government has concluded arrangements to execute a Streetlight Infrastructure Agreement with LEDCo Limited.

The Lagos State Government says it will replace all streetlights with smart LED lighting across the metropolis, as it gets set to take another giant step in actualizing its vision for a greater Lagos.

The FCTA has concluded plans to implement the Federal Government’s e-Government Master Plan in January 2021.

The FCTA recently announced that its Administration Reform Coordination and Service Improvement Department (RCSI) has concluded plans to implement the Federal Government’s e-Government Master Plan in January 2021.

This was disclosed by the Acting Director of the Department, Dr Jumai Ahmadu, in a briefing with reporters, on Monday, in Abuja.

As part of his administration’s commitment towards the actualisation of e-governance model in the state, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, on Thursday, 17 December, 18, inaugurated 1,108 computer systems meant to facilitate the first phase of the model.

The governor, who commissioned the systems inside the Department of Information Communication Technology office of the Governor’s office, Agodi, Ibadan, stated that the measure would fast-track the processes and activities of government through ICT.

The Nigerian Investments Promotion Commission (NIPC) has said that its Single Window Investors Portal (SWIP) that aimed to facilitate business and investments in the country would be available by the first quarter of 2021.

Mr Sabo Isiaku, Head of Corporate Services Division, NIPC, disclosed this on Monday, in Abuja, at the NIPC Media Retreat organised for Commerce and Industry Correspondents’ Association of Nigeria (CICAN).

The minister says privately developed smart estates will soon open in the Nigerian capital.

The Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami, has said his ministry will work with the Federal Capital Territory Administration and some state governments to set up ‘smart cities’ in major cities.
