The Smart City corporation in Nashik, which has already installed 700 CCTVs at important chowks across the city, has plans to install 250 additional cameras.

Red light violation detection (RLVD) and automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) cameras will be installed at 10 of the major traffic signals including Gadkari Chowk, Dwarka junction and others.

In a bid to ensure the expeditious completion of ongoing projects and strict adherence to quality standards, a comprehensive review of the Smart City initiatives in downtown Srinagar was conducted. The areas under scrutiny included Nowhatta, Malaratta, Bohrikadal, Zainakadal, Maharajgunj, Sarafakadal, Nowabazar, Dalal Mohalla, Nalemar, and Khyam.

The directive was issued during an on-site inspection aimed at assessing the progress of various development works initiated under the ambitious Srinagar Smart City project. The review emphasized the need for a timely and efficient execution of projects, considering their significance in transforming the urban landscape of downtown Srinagar.

Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Mohan Reddy said all proposals for the development of the city were given a green signal.

Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has said that the dream of the people of Kadapa of having a ‘Smart City’ has been fulfilled.

The Chief Minister was speaking on Saturday after inaugurating the ₹56.70-crore Ambedkar Circle-Y Junction Road dotted with medians, landscapes and LED streetlights and the Kotireddy Circle developed with ₹1.5 crore funds of the 15th Finance Commission and the Kadapa Urban Development Authority.

The Srinagar Smart City Advisory Forum (SSCAF) convened today at the TRC Meeting Hall, Srinagar, drawing participation from key stakeholders.

Member of Parliament (LS), Dr. Farooq Abdullah, alongside representatives from various government departments, technical experts, traders’ fraternity, and members of civil society, contributed to the vibrant discussion.

Cities are embracing the charm of car-free days and Sunday open-street programs, where communities unite for a serene break from the usual urban hustle and bustle. With an aim to create the same experience for the city of Jammu, BIG FM, one of the leading radio networks in the country, recently partnered with Jammu Smart City for its latest initiative, ‘BIG Street’.

The initiative saw one of Jammu’s busiest streets, Apsara Road, go vehicle-free until afternoon. Apsara Road opened its doors for the public to engage in an array of activities, including sports, fitness and recreation. In addition to that, the visitors also indulged in shopping, food stalls, free haircuts and free health check-ups.
