All services of Azerbaijan’s government agencies will be online by 2020, Communications and High Technologies Minister Ali Abbasov on December 4.

Speaking at the first scientific-practical conference "Problems of construction of e-government" in Baku, he said the number of requests for services provided on the portal of "electronic government" has reaches six million.

An international forum “eGov3.0: trends and new opportunities” kicked off in Baku on the second day of the BakuTel 2014 exhibition on December 3.

The event is organized by the Azerbaijani Communications and High Technologies Ministry in partnership with the United Nations Development Program and Microsoft.

The forum is aimed to create a global platform in Azerbaijan for an exchange of views to identify future development trends, best practices and innovative solutions in the field of electronic management and e-government.

The World Bank and McKinsey & Co. will carry out the assessment of the information and communication technologies readiness of Azerbaijan.

The issue was discussed as deputy chair of the State Statistical Committee Yusif Yusifov met a WB delegation.

Baku is planning to host an international conference “eGov 3.0: Development tendencies and new prospects on 3 December.

The conference will be attended by Deputy Minister of Communications and High Technologies of Azerbaijan Elmir Valizade, representatives of the Azerbaijan Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, State Committee for Property Issues, State Customs Committee, State Agency for public services and social innovations at the President of Azerbaijan.

The third Azerbaijani bank introduced lending on the basis of e-reference provided by the e-government portal (e-gov.az).

According to the Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies, the relevant agreement has been signed between the AccessBank and the Data Processing Center operating under the Ministry.

The services on issue of e-references will be available in the Bank’s central office and branches.
