Vietnam’s e-commerce revenue in 2022 maintained an increase of about 15% compared to last year, according to the Vietnam E-commerce Association (Vecom).

Last year, revenue saw on-year growth of 16% to 13.7 billion USD, the association said.

Vietnam’s e-commerce market has been forecast to see a fast and stable growth rate at double digits during the 2016-25 period.

Hanoi’s goal is to be a leader in Vietnam’s digital transformation by 2025. By 2030, Hanoi will become a smart city and gradually connect with the smart city network in the region and the globe. 2023 will be a year of forming and exploiting data to create new values, stated Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh at a meeting on December 25 to review one year of implementing a project on developing the application of population database, e-identification, and e-authentication for the national digital transformation in the 2022-2025 period with a vision to 2030 (Project 06).

At the same time, he pointed out a number of shortcomings in the work, including an incomplete digital infrastructure and a big gap between urban and rural areas.

Building a digital government with many one-door services is the solution to fight work overload in Ho Chi Minh City. In addition to the birth certificate, she also received a health insurance card and registered permanent residence for her child at the same time.
