Solutions for smart city and industrial park development in the Southern province of Binh Duong were announced at a ceremony jointly organized by the provincial People’s Committee, Becamex IDC, and Japanese telecommunications company Nippon Telegraph and Telephone (NTT) on June 9.

At the event, Vietnam Technology and Telecommunication JSC (VNTT) – a subsidiary of Becamex IDC - signed a strategic collaboration agreement with NTT Data of NTT Group to deploy solutions for developing smart city and industrial parks in Binh Duong.

The presence of numerous plans and projects focused on smart city development in Hanoi creates a favorable environment for Korean businesses to collaborate with Vietnamese counterparts, enabling them to apply their expertise and technology effectively.

This was emphasized on June 9 by South Korea's Deputy Minister of Science and ICT, Park Yoon-Kyu, at a meeting with Nguyen Manh Quyen, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee.

The smart platforms Hue-S of Thua Thien-Hue province and Danang Smart City of Da Nang City have been integrated with data and maps about the positions of free toilets in the cities.

The deputy director of the Da Nang Information and Communications, Tran Ngoc Thach, said the people’s committees of districts in the city have joined forces with the Hai Chau district’s Business Association and deployed the public toilet model with the slogan “Comfort like at home".

This has left a good impression about a friendly, hospitable Da Nang, believed to be the most livable city in Vietnam

The northern province of Bac Giang will continue paying attention to promoting digital society, said the director of the provincial Department of Information and Communications, Tran Minh Chieu.

Accordingly, telecommunications enterprises in the province will continue to develop information technology and telecommunications infrastructure to meet the requirements of the development of smart cities in the locality.

The CICON 2023 – the second international conference that combines the initials of Creative Urban, Culture, Convergence, and Industry took place in Ho Chi Minh City on June 7, offering opportunities for Vietnam and the Republic of Korea (RoK) to participate in the smart city and blockchain industry, build a network of businesses from the two countries.

The event was co-organised by Korea CEO Summit (KCS), Ho Chi Minh City Union of Business Associations (HUBA), Young Business People Association of Ho Chi Minh city (YBA HCM), and Imex Pan Pacific Group (IPPG).
