Director General of Yesser, Eng Ali Al-Soma will be delivering the opening speech at the summit.
He stated "The Government of Saudi Arabia has attributed much focus on developing and implementing new e-Government related projects to facilitate the services provided towards citizens and businesses in the Kingdom. We aim to raise the public sector productivity and efficiency through implementing the relevant e-Government projects using latest technologies. We believe that this summit will provide and showcase the latest trends in the IT industry and throwing light on the cutting-edge technologies dedicated e-Government."

The ministry has introduced more than 71 services related to passports, Civil Status, Traffic Police, Police and other sectors.
The e-government program is aimed at ensuring that all government services are eventually electronic, to reduce visits to government agencies.
People can access the service by logging in to the website www.epassport.gov.sa.
“This system will enable Saudis and expatriates to receive all types of services such as issuance of passports, birth certificates or other documents electronically without visiting their offices,” the prince said during the opening ceremony.

Moreover, by virtue of being readily available and easily accessible to Arab readers worldwide, the e-library serves as an excellent tool to maximize the market potential of digital Arabic content publishers he said after announcing the launch of a groundbreaking digital platform called “Ertiqa Digital Library”, which provides access to all types of digital Arabic content.
The new electronic authentication and certification system will be integrated with "YESSER," the e-Government Program in Saudi Arabia.
Countries all over the world are making the transition to e-Government so as to establish a secure mechanism to receive electronically certified documents and authorizations and make it easier, safer and faster for public officials to validate documents and e-signatures.
