Dubai Police calls to 901 and 999 handled efficiently thanks to technology like AML

Have you ever wondered how Dubai Police works so efficiently in the emirate when a distressed call comes through.

On Sunday morning, the UAE Mobile Government aimed the spotlight on Dubai Police and explained how they are notified when a distress call is made to 901 or 999.

This is in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to transition from an e-government to smart government.

As part of its strategy to enhance efficiency and performance through leading-edge information technology solutions, the Ministry of Finance (MoF) launched the Government e-Service Fees platform and a Strategic Partnerships Map at GITEX Technology Week 2019. These initiatives underscore the ministry's commitment to further improve its services and adopt best practices in digital transformation. This is in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to transition from an e-government to smart government.

Investment in tech enabling smart cities in Middle East, Africa expected to hit $2.3B mark by 2021

Data will soon prove to be invaluable to organisations across the UAE, especially as they look to invest in technologies such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things (IoT) and blockchain, to become more efficient, while improving upon their sustainability.

Experts at the conclusion of Gitex Technology Week 2019, noted that data, collected and then properly analysed, will be the building block for organisations as they roll out their digitisation initiatives.

The Sharjah Department of e-Government has announced that 33 government departments will participate in the 39th GITEX Technology Week from 6th-10th October, at Dubai World Trade Centre.

The departments are participating in line with Sharjah e-Government's determination to support digital transformation and develop processes and systems across government entities in the emirate.
