The Dubai Government Information Network is designed to become the information backbone between the emirate’s governmental organisations and the internet.
Smart Dubai has joined forces with Moro Hub for the provision of a high-end node at its data centre to accelerate the digital transformation initiatives of Dubai’s government entities.
The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, TRA, in cooperation with the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs, UN DESA, launched the Arabic version of the United Nations E-Government Survey 2020, during the regional webinar "E-Government Development in the Arab Region" organised by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia, ESCWA.
The importance of the survey, which is issued every two years by the United Nations, stems from its inclusion of new directions of UN standards in e-governments, and from being a reference for governments and digital transformation programs in Arab countries.

The UAE maintained its Arab and regional leadership in a number of ICT related indicators, according to the Global Innovation Index Report 2020, which included results related to Global Competitiveness indicators for ICT sector.
According to the report, the UAE ranked first on the Arab and regional level in information and communication technologies (ICTs) pillar, ICT access indicator, and ICT use indicator. The UAE also ranked first in the Arab region in Generic top-level domains (gTLDs), and in Country-code top-level domains (ccTLDs) (.ae). This reflects the UAE’s efforts in enforcing the digital transformation embodied by the government’s directions towards being one of the leading countries in the world.

Employees on probation and those who require to be physically present in their offices for work will not be part of the e-work system.
Ajman has approved a remote working system permanently for government employees. Sheikh Ahmed bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, the representative of His Highness the Ruler of Ajman for Administrative and Financial Affairs, has issued a decision stipulating that the system be applied to all local government agencies.

The Dubai Land Department (DLD) announced the completion of the first stage of project that uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the smart valuation process of real estate units.
The first-of-its-kind project is in line with DLD's approach, which regards innovation as a fundamental pillar for shaping the future.
