In line with UAEs vision to fast track digital transformation, Software AG and du, from Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (EITC), recently signed a partnership to provide a subscription-based licensing model for IoT services to its business customers.

The strategic collaboration enables the two companies to address complex IoT implementations for organisations in UAE. These businesses will benefit from rapid application development features, reduced time to deployment and out-of the-box IoT analytics and dashboards to see the complete picture of their IoT data.

The Artificial Intelligence (AI) Ethics Advisory Board – an initiative by the Smart Dubai – has recently convened for its second meeting for 2020, bringing together board members representing leading government and private-sector entities to explore plans for the upcoming period.

The Board was formed to steer the development and deployment of human-centred ethical AI, and to encourage fairness, transparency, and accountability in AI systems in Dubai. It was designed to create a multi-stakeholder collaborative platform and foster an ongoing dialogue, enabling board members to share knowledge and expertise around this complex technology, and to explore viable policy instruments that can more readily adapt to evolving AI technologies.

Etihad Energy Services (Etihad ESCO) will join Moro Hub’s newly launched state-of-the-art Smart Cities Command and Control Centre following an agreement signed by both organisations, which was witnessed by DEWA MD and CEO Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer.

Etihad ESCO will now benefit from Moro Hub’s world class digital, cloud and secured services while bringing its expertise in measurement and verification, energy monitoring and management and facility management.
