The Ministry of Finance and Industry (MoFI) signed an agreement with the Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (TRA) endorsing the use of government client cards (e-Dirham) for the authority's revenue collection.

Signing the agreement on MoFI's part was its Assistant Under Secretary for Revenue and Budget Khalid Ali Al Bustani, while the TRA was represented by Mohammed Nasser Al Ghanem, its Director General.

Headed by HE Ibrahim Abdel Malek, under secretary for the Ministry of Public Works (MoPW), the e-government team of the UAE’s Ministry of Finance and Industry (MoFI) has discussed the latest developments in the implementation schedule of the eProject system. MoPW has been assigned by the e-government executive committee to oversee the project.

Held in the Ministry of Public Works’ headquarters, the meeting was attended by Dr. Emir Mavani, the federal e-government programme director at MoFI, and Ahmed Bin Ghannam, e-government programme manager in Etisalat’s business unit, eCompany, which is the technical partner of federal e-government for all the ICT needs of the project.

UAE Ministry of Finance and Industry (MoFI)’s e-government team has discussed the latest developments in the implementation plan of e-project system. MoPW has been assigned by the e-Government Executive Committee to oversee the project.

E-messaging, a project of the e-government initiative launched by MOFI, which aims at providing unique identities for employees within Federal Government for official email communication, is currently linked to the e-portal, a single access channel to UAE Government services and information for residents, businesses, visitors and federal employees.

As part of its efforts to introduce users to the numerous e-government services and their function, the Ministry of Finance and Industry (MOFI) yesterday held a workshop on e-messaging in cooperation with e-Company and federal government technical managers.
