The UAE Ministry of Justice has announced the implementation of its e-Form Justice services, the first step in its move towards e-government.

The signing, with the Global Information Technology Company, was held under the supervision of Ministry of the Governmental Sector Development.

Abu Dhabi government's modernisation drive has been given a major boost with the launch of its own e-portal, which is set to become the most in depth system of its kind in the Arab world.

The new ‘e-Abu Dhabi' site will provide a single-point of access to over 500 government services. And, in an effort to encourage the creation of new enterprises in the Emirate, the e-facility will also include specialised business development pages.

The Abu Dhabi government yesterday unveiled a massive e-government project unmatched elsewhere in the Middle East and Mena region.

The move follows the successful implementation of Dubai's e-government project and is in line with a federal e-government project that will complete the circle.

Delegations from Singapore and Kuwait get a first hand account of Dubai’s e-government model in a knowledge share between the countries.

Rear Admiral (NS) Sim Gim Guan, the senior director for information and corporate management at the Ministry of Information, Communications and the Arts (MICA) led an 11-member Singaporean delegation to study various elements of Dubai’s e-government initiative to gain valuable insight into the workings of the project. This was followed by a Kuwaiti delegation representing the Ministry of Trade and Industry.

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced around 20 new services to its customers.

These include those from the suggestion scheme 'Fikraty', complaints system, Customers' Council, Emergency Office, Call Center in addition to the automated response system (IVR) and the services of the Traffic and Roads Agency, Marine Agency and Public Transport.
