The signing, with the Global Information Technology Company, was held under the supervision of Ministry of the Governmental Sector Development.
When completed, the e-Form Justice program will allow users to complete ministry procedures online and file them electronically through the ministry's interactive portal.
His Excellency Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansouri, UAE Minister of Governmental Sector Development, and H.E. Mohammed Bin Nekhaira Al Dhaheri, UAE Minister of Justice, attended the signing ceremony and discussed the importance of implementing e-government services in the judicial department.
'We at the Ministry of Justice are dedicated to improving our service standards and performance, and we are very keen to move ahead in this new growth area,' said Al Dhaheri. 'We look forward to applying HH Sheikh Mohammed's vision of e-government in all aspects of our ministry, and will begin with this phase.'
Al Mansouri said the signing reflected growing interest in ministry circles in the advantages of e-government.
'Today's signing is a link in the overall chain,' said Al Mansouri. 'We will roll out these services incrementally across the different ministries and departments to ensure unified service offerings across the country.'
Dr Abdul Rahim Al Awadi, assistant undersecretary at the Ministry of Justice; Mohammad Al Riyami, administration manager of Computerization and Tracking at the Ministry of Justice; and Rashid Al Muhairi, IT manager at the ministry of justice and Abdallah Al Majid, administration manager of Computerization and Tracking at the Ministry of Governmental Sector Development and the project manager of the e government project, and Dr Khalifa Al Fulasi, the chairman of Global Information Technology Company and Salim Abdallah, the general manager of Global Information Technology Company, also attended the meeting.
