The Executive Director of the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA), Dorothy Kisaka, has emphasised the role of university graduates in driving national transformation. ;
Speaking at a symposium organised by Makerere University, Kisaka urged graduates in key leadership roles to diagnose the problems of their institutions and develop innovative solutions to address them.
A study by American Tower Corporation (ATC) shows that high rise buildings are causing poor network signals, and therefore more towers are needed to deliver satisfactorily.
The towers to be deployed will take different designs and forms such as roof tops, pine trees, and smart poles.
Ms Dorothy Ssemanda, the ATC chief executive officer, while presenting the findings of the study, said the 400 network towers will be supported by more than 444,000 points of service stationed at different city buildings.

Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) executive director, Dorothy Kisaka has revealed that the Authority will focus on infrastructure, technology, and people’s well-being in promoting a smart city in the New Year, 2023.
Kisaka tells KFM that the authority wants to promote a conducive business and healthy environment for the city residents.

In line with its ‘Smart City’ agenda, Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) has launched a state-of-the-art hybrid solar system at Mulago School of the deaf and Ntinda school of the deaf. The system was financed by a donation from the European Union and Green Energy.
While launching the system, the Executive Director of the authority, Dorothy Kisaka, was in the company of Mayor Nakawa, Paul Mugambe, and Olive Namazzi, the KCCA Executive Secretary in charge of education and public health.
