
During his trip to China for the World Economic Forum in Tianjin, Vietnamese Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính met with Chen Jining, Secretary of the Party Committee of Shanghai, on Thursday.
The Prime Minister congratulated Shanghai on its achievements in modernization, innovation, and reform and called the city a “testbed” for China’s opening-up policies.

As Bắc Giang embraces the digital transformation, the province is setting a national example in building a smart, connected and citizen-centric government.
The northern province of Bắc Giang is accelerating its transition to a digital government and smart city model as part of its 2025 development agenda, according to Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Mai Sơn.
By the end of the year, Bắc Giang aims to interconnect and share all foundational data systems to support the growth of e-government and digital transformation efforts. Government data will be opened up to better serve citizens and businesses with seamless, single-declaration public services that span the entire life cycle of an administrative procedure.

With funds of nearly 2 million EUR from BMUV, the SUA project stands as a flagship example of scientific research being effectively translated into practical applications, helping address urgent challenges posed by rapid urbanisation, climate change, and the shift towards a carbon-neutral economy.
A workshop on smart urban areas was jointly organised in Hanoi on May 6 by the National Innovation Centre (NIC), the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV) of the Federal Republic of Germany, and TU Dortmund University.
