The model centre also acts as a gateway to more than 100 smart services from eight government entities through ‘SmartPass’ e-identification.
The Dubai government launched a one-stop service centre on September 9, called ‘Services 1’, integrating artificial intelligence solutions from IBM and robotics technologies. The centre will act as a pilot for future service centres.
The UAE’s investments in Artificial Intelligence have been growing by 70 per cent over the past three years, and are projected to hit Dh33 billion ($9 billion) by the end of this year, according to economic analysts.
The figures drive home the fact that UAE is ready to embrace AI technologies, managing in a few years to be a role model for adopting state-of-the-art technologies across all economic sectors, reported Wam, the Emirates official news agency.

The UAE's software, hardware and IT services segment continues to register steady and resilient growth, mostly driven by the government sector, through many of the IT projects it is involved in, such as e-government services, IT hardware for education and the 'Smart City' initiative, or indirectly through government-backed enterprises.
According to a report by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, sales in the UAE IT market are expected to hit almost Dh22 billion by 2019 and per capita spending to reach above Dh2,000 by 2018. The current IT market value in the UAE is estimated to be close to Dh19 billion, compared to just Dh12 billion in 2010

The UAE has moved up from 40th to 34th in ranking for its use of information and communication technology to improve the quality of services provided by the digital government, a study by the Waseda University Institute of e-Government revealed.
