The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has launched round-the-clock interactive and smart online portal for the Visiting Consultants Programme through a seamless data exchange between different internal systems in full compliance with patient’s confidentiality and digital safety standards.

It is a user-friendly digital innovation platform which promotes the future of smart transformation.

Dubai is striving to build a reputation as one of the smartest cities in the world, and the emirate will take another step in its journey later this year with the opening of Silicon Park.

Construction is due to complete on the project in the first half of 2019, and the 15-hectare development at Dubai Silicon Oasis is set to be the first purpose-built smart city in the emirate. Combining residential, office, and retail buildings, Silicon Park will also include many of the latest concepts when it comes to smart services, smart infrastructure, and sustainability.

The city is already 57% of the way toward its goal of going paperless, with plans to issue its final paper transaction in 2021.

Dubai is more than halfway toward its goal of going completely paperless and cashless by December 2021, and is looking to emerging technologies like blockchain to help it reach its goal.

H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Ajman Executive Council, issued Emiri Resolution No. 05 for 2019, regarding the Ajman Government’s, 'Smart Payment System', JMANPAY, which will be in force from the date of its issuance.

The Department of Finance will be responsible for managing and operating the system.

Dubai Paperless Strategy saw six government entities reduced paper use by 57 per cent in the last six months.

Smart Dubai is working with nine government entities in the second phase this year in their endeavor to go paperless by 2021, a senior official said at a conference on Wednesday.

In the first phase, Dubai Paperless Strategy saw six government entities reduced paper use by 57 per cent in the last six months, exceeding their initial target set for 50 per cent digital transformation of transactions.
