In a press conference held by the Abu Dhabi City Municipality on its organization of the Abu Dhabi Smart City Summit, taking place on October 29 and 30, 2019, it reiterated its keenness to enhance Abu Dhabi’s reputation in terms of Smart City and Artificial Intelligence applications in governance, services, transport, roads, infrastructure, sustainability, future foresight, and innovation. It also emphasized its support of government entities’ efforts and effective contribution to the transformation of Abu Dhabi into a smart city, through the examination of regional and international best practices on smart cities, mobilization of efforts and energies, and conclusion of effective and meaningful public-private partnerships in this regard.

In a bid to have an effective e-government implementations, the e-Government Agency (eGA) has developed an enterprise resource management suite (ERMS) that consolidates and streamlines various business functions, it has been learnt.
The agency's Chief Executive Officer, Dr Jabiri Bakari said that the shared business management system integrates and manages end to end institutional business processes and functions seamlessly.

The Dubai RTA has announced the completion of 75 projects as part of the Smart City and Artificial Intelligence Programme.
According to the organisation, the projects completed are related to the smart organisation, infrastructure, smart vehicles, data management, artificial intelligence and smart and sustainable transport.
Discussions are underway to ‘lift technology restrictions’ and boost economic businesses
Dr Aisha Bint Butti Bin Bishr, Director General of the Smart Dubai Office, said her office is talking to “strategic partners and telecommunication industry” to ultimately lift the technology restrictions and attain more economic benefits.
“When it comes to telecommunications, we are working very closely with our strategic partners and the telecommunication industry to understand with them how we can lift these kind of restrictions to boost our economy more,” Bin Bishr said in an exclusive interview on the sidelines of Artificial Intelligence Summit in Dubai.

Projects completed include Raqeeb, Smart Testing Yard, Al Merqab and Heat Maps
HE Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced the completion of 75 projects as part of the Smart City and Artificial Intelligence Programme.
