The committee established by UAE Cabinet in January held its first meeting yesterday at the Ministry of Finance and Industry in Dubai. The committee is chaired by Shaikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance and Industry.
"The eEmployee programme was designed by Dubai eGovernment in an effort to enhance computer competency of all government employees," said Mahmood Al Bastaki, Acting Director of eServices, Dubai eGovernment. "The increasing demand for the programme has created the need for an examination centre that has consistently high standards and state of the art facilities. Higher Colleges of Technology has all the equipment and staff needed to offer world-class examination facilities for government employees. We are confident that after acquiring the certificate, employees of government departments will have a better understanding of the various IT processes and systems that support Dubai eGovernment's eServices."
