Parti Bersatu Sabah Api-Api Information Chief Yee Tsai Yiew called on the local authorities to digitalise their parking system, an upgrade from the current traditional scratch-and-display method.
She said the current parking coupons system is causing widespread frustration among motorists, who wanted a timely solution.
A Seven-prong blueprint to steer Johor forward has been birthed by the Town and Country Planning Department (PLAN Malaysia) and the state government.

Klang Municipal Council’s (MPK) Smart City 2030 Action Plan is people-centric.
Its president Noraini Roslan, who launched the action plan, said MPK had taken into consideration the people’s views in drawing up strategies.
“Our plan involves engagement sessions with the people, data collection, public surveys, meetings and analyses to obtain suggestions for comprehensive smart city planning,” she said at the council’s full board meeting.

The Malaysian Research Accelerator for Technology and Innovation (MRANTI) has launched the first government 5G Technology centre, the MRANTI 5G Experience Centre.
Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Chang Lih Kang said the MRANTI 5G Experience Centre offers a prototyping, test, demo and lab area with speeds of up to 1 Gigabyte per second (GBps), for industry applications and use cases by vertical sectors to be showcased.

Johor’s Iskandar Puteri still has some way to go before it can further reduce its carbon footprint and be as green it wants to be, but it is heading steadfastly in that direction.
On Nov 22, 2017, Johor Ruler Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar officially proclaimed Iskandar Puteri as Johor’s second city after Johor Baru. This also made it the 14th city in Malaysia. The Johor Baru Central Municipal Council, which was established on March 1, 1978, was upgraded to the Iskandar Puteri City Council (MBIP) on Jan 1, 2001.
