In a move towards the development of smart cities in Malaysia, Gamuda Land has announced a collaboration with Digital Nasional Bhd (DNB), marking a key step in enhancing 5G connectivity and infrastructure within its townships.

The partnership, formalised through a memorandum of understanding (MOU), aims to explore the full spectrum of 5G technology possibilities, focusing on Gamuda Cove @ Kuala Langat, Gamuda Gardens @ Sungai Buloh North and twentyfive7 @ South of Kota Kemuning.

CelcomDigi Bhd has partnered with Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) for the digital development of Hulu Kelang, to expedite the districts' transformation into a smart city.

With this ten-year partnership, both organisations will collaborate to explore and implement potential 5G technology solutions.

The strategic collaboration between HeiTech Padu Berhad (HTP) and Kulim Kedah Municipal Council (MPKK) is set to propel the district’s development, paving the way for it to evolve into a smart city.

HTP Group chief executive officer, Salmi Nadia Mohd Hilmey emphasised the significance of the collaboration with MPKK, highlighting that it signifies the joint commitment to creating a sustainable smart city through innovation, utilisation of cutting-edge technology, and the preservation of the environment.

The KMKt Cemerlang group from Kelantan Matriculation College was crowned as the champion of the GreenCity AR iPad Challenge: Shaping Sustainable Urban Cities competition.

The five-member group emerged victorious among 46 participating groups for their ‘City Batukam’ sustainable city model design, beating 10 finalists in the process.

They were selected after a final pitching session with the five best groups held at AnCasa Hotel Kuala Lumpur, attended by a panel of judges, educators, parents, higher education students, and invited guests.
