The Ministry of Education has acquired a paperless system for data and event management as part of the e-government implementation project.

The ministry has awarded Brunei-based Sprintville Technologies a contract for the deployment and support of a knowledge management system called Avant Werx Smart Enterprise Suite.

The contract-signing ceremony between the ministry and Sprintville Technologies was held at the Orchid Garden Hotel yesterday.

A ceremony was held yesterday to mark the official handing over of the e-Government Implementation Review Report August 2006, compiled by a team of consultants from Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP) Company Sdn Bhd.

The ceremony was held yesterday at Al-Mahabbah Room, Ministry of Communications. The engagement of the BSP consultancy team to conduct the review of the e-Government implementation was initiated and organised by the Ministry of Communications with consent of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan Brunei Darussalam.

Fifteen Department Purchase Order (DPO) clerks from the government are undergoing a 3-day course on Purchase Order Processing (PO Processing) according to the Treasury Accounting and Financial Information Systems (TAFIS), which began at the Training Room of the Ministry of Finance, Jalan Kebangsaan yesterday.

The course is being conducted by BAG Networks Sdn Bhd.
