Enlisting Artificial Intelligence and Big Data in COVID-19 fight has helped Bahrain ‘save precious time’ and combat the pandemic in a better way, said a top iGA official. The advanced technologies helped Kingdom easing the burden on medical staff and allowed them to focus on active cases that require treatment and thorough observation.

Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) Chief Executive, Mohammed Ali Al Qaed, said this during a webinar on the ‘Future Vision of Digital Government Through the Lens of COVID-19’ organised by Saudi Arabia’s eGovernment Programme ‘YESSER’ and the World Bank.

eServices allow graduates to complete all procedures without having to physically visit service centers and offices

School and university graduates are invited to finalise their graduation requirements through a bundle of eServices offered via the national portal, bahrain.bh.

Information and eGovernment Authority deputy chief executive of electronic transformation Dr Zakareya Al Khajah said the eServices allow graduates to complete all procedures without having to physically visit service centers and offices.

The drive is in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad to provide assistance to Bahraini families affected by the pandemic and alleviate their financial burdens during this exceptional situation.

A new online service allowing people affected by Covid-19 to register through national platform Bahrain.bh has been launched.

Limiting the spread of Covid-19 and ensuring public safety are some of the highlighted benefits of Bahrain’s ‘BeAware’ mobile application.

In a short video released yesterday, the Health Ministry explains the app’s contribution in limiting the spread of the coronavirus in Bahrain, along with the contact tracing procedure.

The four-minute video also features citizens and residents speaking on their experiences with the application.

Several major brands are set to participate in the virtual service

Bahrain's Ministry of Industry has launched a virtual mall to enable shops to continue serving their customers during the ongoing global COVID-19 outbreak.

Launched by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, the mall.bh website, which officially opened on Thursday April 23, features a range of products from more than 100 companies operating in the kingdom including fashion, homeware and electronics.
