The Executive Chairman of the e-Government Authority Mohammed Al Qaed told a Press conference on Saturday that an average of 30,000 individuals visit the portal every day and 500,000 every month and said that the portal would offer more services soon.

The government's BD42 million project to make 167 services available online by 2010, is making good progress and public awareness is growing, said e-Government Agency chief executive Mohammed Al Qaed.
It was announced by the e-Government Agency based on criteria set by ministerial and parliamentary committees, reports our sister paper Akhbar Al Khaleej.
Two eGates are currently operational at the airport's arrivals hall but only Bahrainis are allowed to use them.
These gates are old and will be replaced with more modern versions, said Interior Ministry Assistant Under-Secretary for Nationality, Passports and Residence Shaikh Ahmed bin Isa Al Khalifa.
The Bahrain eGovernment Agency was working with various ministries and government institutions to add 50 new e-services to the current pool of 43 services on the e-governance website www.gov.bh, he said.
