Chairman of the Board of the State Corporation “Government for Citizens” Ablaykhan Ospanov told about the use of biometrics in new developments of the Public Service Centers at the press conference following the Government meeting.
According to him, the biometric parameters of Kazakhstanis, which are provided voluntarily, can replace the digital signature when receiving a number of public services.
Jan. 15 at the Government meeting chaired by the Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev, the development of e-government and the provision of public services were considered.
In the Address to the People of Kazakhstan “Growing Welfare of Kazakh Citizens: Increase in Incomes and Quality of Life,” the Head of State commissioned to switch 90% of all public services to electronic format by 2020.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs launched an electronic housing register in October, the Central Communications Service reported Nov. 19. The listing now includes approximately nine million people.
Kazakh citizens have been submitting entitling documents for residential premises since 2017. The information can be received online from the address registry using the individual identification number and the electronic housing register system was developed based on the service. The migration service has started issuing address certificates to homeowners indicating all persons registered at the location.

Artificial intelligence components will be implemented in eGov.kz portal of Kazakhstan, Minister of Information and Communications Dauren Abayev said at the Governmental meeting in Astana today.
"Kazakhstan ranks the 39th in the UN E-Government Development Index in 2018. Meanwhile, by the level of maturity, our e-government system stands at eGov2.0 stage. Under the Digital Kazakhstan programme we are now taking measures to move to eGov3.0 level which has already been reached by the Republic of Korea, Australia, Singapore, Great Britain, Denmark, and Sweden. What does characterize eGov3.0 system? First of all, the implementation of elements of artificial intelligence, pro-active services, the internet of things etc." said the Minister.
As part of his working visit to the Zhambyl region, Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev familiarized himself with the implementation of the state program Digital Kazakhstan in the region, and also examined new educational technologies at the IT Lyceum, the press centre of Prime-Minister reports.
The Head of the Digitalization Office D. Yegizbayev reported that the Smart Taraz project, which includes 20 projects in five key areas: education, health, housing and public utilities, transport, agribusiness and security, is being implemented within the framework of the state program Digital Kazakhstan.
