Dr Al Khaja said a number of applications were developed by the eGovernment Authority in co-ordination with the related entities, and others by the relevant public entity.
He said the usage of applications has grown.
The launch was announced by Minister of Transportation Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed during the inauguration of the 'MEET ICT 2013' conference today (December 10) at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre.
On this occasion, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Mubarak Al Khalifa stated that Bahrain has embraced the idea of enhancing eContent with its efforts to keep abreast of the latest developments and create a knowledge-driven economy by supporting the development of a stimulating environment acting as a catalyst to promote creativity and engagement of youths in all fields of scientific advancements, including developing and designing the eContent, as well as putting a significant imprint of our identity on the international technology map.
The store is a unified window featuring all government e-Services as downloadable applications on Google's Android and Apple's iOS platforms.
The launch was announced during the inauguration of the MEET ICT 2013 conference by the minister at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre.
The conference, organized for the fourth consecutive year, in cooperation with Worksmart and Bahrain Technology Companies Society (BTECH), will turn the spotlight on the Kingdom’s regional role as a key player in building ICT capabilities through hosting a prestigious gathering of international experts. Such professionals will add their experience by displaying their skills in the ICT field in order to attract audience from Bahrain and the region.
