New Bilingual City Site to Showcase Latest in Cost-Effective e-Government

e21 Corporation, a global public relations, marketing, and Web development agency, announced today that it has signed a contract to provide a major redesign of the City of Hollister Web site. This new Web site will include information, forms, and e-government services for the citizens and staff of the City, providing greater access to information on public services, and enabling faster response to public safety and emergency services. Hollister contracted e21 to design the new site in Spanish and English in order to meet the city's goal to maximize access by all users, residents, and stakeholders.

The White House today launched a revamped Web site for e-government projects, organizing information about the 25 Quicksilver initiatives under one portal.

The federal government faces increasing pressure to bolster its information technology systems to streamline the way U.S. agencies and departments share information and communicate with citizens. With President Bush proposing more than $59 billion for federal IT projects next year, the White House is expecting agencies to manage existing projects carefully and vet new ones even more rigorously.
