This new Web site will include information, forms, and e-government services for the citizens and staff of the City, providing greater access to information on public services, and enabling faster response to public safety and emergency services. Hollister contracted e21 to design the new site in Spanish and English in order to meet the city's goal to maximize access by all users, residents, and stakeholders. The City of Hollister is the largest City in San Benito County and located approximately 100 miles south of San Francisco in California's Central Coast region. The City has experienced high population and business growth in recent years, due in part to its proximity to San Jose/Silicon Valley area, attractive lifestyle, home ownership amenities, and solid economic base of agricultural business. In response to this growth, and to meet its citizens' expectations for 24/7 access to government information, Hollister's City Council authorized the development of a comprehensive, bilingual City Web site portal. After reviewing qualifications and competitive bids from a number of suppliers, the City selected e21 Corporation.

In addition, the site has been built to support online payment of City services, and includes an automated system to rapidly forward information requests to the proper City employee. It even allows us to conduct citizen surveys on topics of public interest."
