All citizens and residents of Brunei are eligible to take part in a nationwide e-government citizen survey beginning December 4 to identify which government services need to be made available online.

The survey will enable more effective citizen engagement and collaboration with the community, Brunei's e-government media said in a statement.

Grassroot leaders yesterday were urged to increase their knowledge, especially in areas of information and communication technology (ICT), as they will be the main movers of the e-Kampung (e-Village) system which is scheduled to be implemented soon.

Bandar Seri Begawan - A New government utility bill payment has been introduced allowing existing water and electricity customers to pay their bills through participating banks effective yesterday following the signing of agreements between the government and respective banking institutions.

In addition to the existing Department of Electrical Services (DES) and Public Works Department (PWD) counter services, customers can now pay their bills through online banking, automated teller machines (ATMs), cash deposit machines, cheque deposit machines and phone banking.
