Governor Uba is repositioning the state for better security, efficiency and investments

Without being immodest, one can state that Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, is driven by three identifiable things – vision, passion and action — to birth a new Kaduna State. A new state where the good people live in peace, in unity, in prosperity, and shared values for a better, more dignifying, and comfortable life. And this, he has done without airs since his assumption of office in sharp contrast to what previously obtained in the state.

Kaduna State governor, Uba Sani has announced that the Kaduna Smart City project is poised to attract $150 million in foreign investment and create 100,000 direct jobs.

Speaking to State House correspondents in Abuja after a condolence visit to Vice President Kashim Shettima following the recent flooding disaster in Maiduguri, Borno State, Governor Sani revealed that private investors have already shown interest in the project.

Communication scholars and professionals have admonished state governments and the federal government to develop policies on Artificial Intelligence (AI), fact-checking and verification.

This, they noted, could be achieved by collaboration with big tech companies, government agencies, civil society organisations and academics.

This call was contained in a communiqué issued at the end of the 11th Annual Conference and General Meeting of the Association of Communication Scholars & Professionals of Nigeria (ACSPN) signed by its general secretary, Dr Solomon Oyeleye.
