The Economic Adviser to the President and Chief Executive Officer of the National Planning Commission, Prof. Ode Ojowu, has reiterated government’s determination to deploy e-government in the delivery of its social and economic development programmes for the betterment of the country.

In this regard, Prof. Ojowu indicated within a short time, government services would be made available to ordinary Nigerians online no matter where they are based.

The National eGovernment Strategies Limited (NeGSt), the vehicle created by the Federal Government to implement the Nigerian eGovernment project will over the coming six months embark on a systematic rollout of its product offerings, its Managing Director, Otumba Felix Obada, has said.

Obada who made this announcement at the recent NeGSt shareholders agreement signing ceremony said, by linking the services of various ministeries, agencies, parastatals and businesses in the country through a national portal the NeGSt will for the first time bring synergy to the nationwide implementation of various IT projects.
