The Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the National e-Government Strategies Limited, NeGst, Dr. Olu Agunloye, said in Abuja that he was innocent of all the alleged crimes for which the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is probing him.

Agunloye who is being probed by the EFCC over alleged economic crimes committed against NeGst maintained his hands were clean.

But EFCC sources insisted that the charges against Agunloye were well documented and had merit.

Ebonyi state government is to acquire Internet facilities that would be used to monitor operations of the two tiers of government across the state.

Vice-Chairman of the National eGoverment Strategies, Dr Olu Agunloye has allayed fears that the electronic government strategies initiated by the Federal Government was designed to lay off workers thereby replacing them with electronic devices.

Agunloye, in at an interractive session with journalists in Ibadan, dispelled such misgivings, and said such a strategy rather than create unemployment will be a veritable source of wealth creation and also generate employment.

He explained that the idea behind the programme was to bring up people empowerment programme.

(SFTeHIN) Telemedicine and eHealth is one of the products of the eGovernment initiative of National eGovernment Strategies Limited, a tripartite joint venture - PPP (Public Private Partnership) comprising Federal Government, represented by National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), on the one part, strategic partners and financial investors.
