A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the two parties at the International academic Conference 2013 on “Education for Thailand’s Future” between June 23 and 25. The development will be a part of the OEC’s effort in producing educational indicators that would allow the government a better management on education.
ICT Minister Group Captain Anudith Nakornthap, who signed the MOU on behalf of the NSO, revealed that the newly developed apps will soon be available for download on Apple Store for iOS enabled devices and via a website. The apps includes Stat-ED (Education Statistics), Re-ED (Education Research), and Eva-ED (Education Evaluation).
“The apps would be tools for people who are interested in directly accessing education statistics and research data rather than requesting them from agencies,” he said and added that the apps would empower people to better plan policies for personal and national development.
“Statistics like employment could help people better prepare and have choices of careers that offer employment right after graduation. At the same time, the state agencies could also leverage data for policy-making,” he said.
