This task was imposed by the government.
The aim of the forthcoming regulation is to stipulate general rules for eGovernment performance, including related legal institutions, and provide for the implementation of eGovernment in a uniform manner without the need for any specific legislation that provides for individual performance.
The act shall establish the institutions so far lacking in the Slovak legal environment, such as document conversion and electronic personal mailbox.
At the same time, electronic data exchange will not be the exclusive way of contacts with public administration; common written or personal communication will be possible.
Every citizen and legal person in Slovakia should have a personal electronic mailbox, administered by the Central Public Administration Portal (UPVS).
For entrepreneurs the personal mail boxes will be mandatory, but individuals will not have to use them.
The personal mailbox shall be established within a few days after the birth of a citizen. Establishing the mailbox shall be free.
