New Program Lets Most Taxpayers Prepare and File Returns for Free on Internet This Season

Businesses that received 2002 economic census forms in December for the first time may file their information electronically by Feb. 12, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. Businesses that received a form are required by law (Title 13, U.S. Code) to respond.

There are 87,525 local governments in America and nearly one-third provided information and services online, says the 2002 Census of Governments by the Commerce Department's Census Bureau.

Making a reservation at several of Tennessee's State Parks just got easier.

The Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation today announced the launch of the new online parks reservation system that allows visitors to make reservations for inns and cabins at several Tennessee State Parks.

Just the other day, without getting out of my jammies, I bought a fishing license.

Took me just four minutes and my credit card. Filled out the application, hit a button on my computer, printed out the license and signed it.

Unfortunately, it was a New Hampshire license, not a Maryland license.
