A data scientist, Gbolahan Temilorun, has urged the Federal Government to deploy Artificial Intelligence (AI) as part of a broad reform of Nigeria’s public service, saying the technology could significantly improve efficiency, transparency, and citizen engagement across government institutions.
Temilorun said Nigeria is at a critical juncture where rising public expectations, rapid population growth, and limited resources require smarter approaches to governance, adding that AI offers practical tools to address long-standing administrative bottlenecks.

The National Council on Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy (NCCIDE) has announced Zamfara state as the top performing in e-government in Nigeria’s Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector.
The state has also emerged as the first Runner-Up in ICT Human Capital Development at the 13th National Council on Communications, Innovation & Digital Economy in Jos, Plateau State.

The Deputy National Chairman of the Nigerian Institution of Highway and Transportation Engineers (NIHTE), Bola Mudasiru, says smart infrastructure is transforming urban development by harnessing technology to drive sustainability and efficiency.
Mudasiru made the remark during his presentation at the Zimbabwe Institution of Engineers International Conference recently.
