Siemens Business Services and Microsoft have already recorded the first sales success of their e-government partnership. In May 2003, the two companies announced their intention to develop and market e government solutions together. Two internet portals are currently being set up in Germany (Hamburg) and Slovakia (Bratislava), thus confirming the partners joint sales strategy.

Integrating Microsoft's Gateway Solution with the Accenture eGovernment Accelerator will help governments speed up the rollout of new electronic services. The Accelerator is designed to offer transactional forms and information on the Internet that are integrated with "back-end" government IT operations.
