The Department of Educational Administration of M S University's Faculty of Education and Psychology is organizing an international workshop on ICT and Pedagogic Development in collaboration with Stockholm University, Sweden, Life Academy and Swedish International Development Agency till November 30.

The international training program on ICT and Pedagogical Development is arranged for participants from selected countries in Europe, Africa, Asia and Latin America.

One of the main objectives with the regional phase is to share international knowledge on ICT in education and to learn from the local experience of ICT as a pedagogical tool in the educational system.

The regional phase of the workshop includes a few selected study visits to educational institutions at different levels of the educational system. The participants will also report on the progress of their individual "change projects" and there will also be other activities such as group work and reflections.

The delegates have come from ten countries including Bolivia, Tanzania, Uganda, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Uruguay, Sweden, Cambodia, Rwanda and India.

"It is really mixed group of professionals working in the field of education," professor K Pushpanadham, director of the international workshop said, adding that during the programme lots of exchange of country specific experiences with regard to information and communication policies, programmes, strategies and challenges will take place.

The inaugural session on the workshop was held on Monday with a brief introduction about the ICT and education related research in India and the review of national policy on ICT in school education.
