Singapore has upgraded its SingPass e-government platform. Starting 5 July, SingPass users will have access to an improved SingPass user interface, mobile-friendly features and upgraded security capabilities with the enhanced system. Launched in 2003, Singapore Personal Access (SingPass) is a gateway to over 200 e-services offered by more than 60 government agencies, enabling users to only have to remember one password when connecting and transacting with the Government. The system is managed by the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore.

The SingPass system has now been enhanced with clearer instructions and more intuitive account management features, among other improvements. Users can navigate the site and complete their tasks, access their account via mobile and update their SingPass account online, anytime, anywhere.

SingPass users will receive SMS or email notifications for any changes made to their profile. They will also go through a secure 2-step login process for e-government transactions involving sensitive data, such as financial or health information, or those that require high level of identity assurance. Over 100 government e-services will require 2-step verification.
