Government Partners with Private Sector to Drive Digital Transformation
The Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines continues to lead the charge toward digital transformation, working closely with private sector partners like Digi-Cell to modernize infrastructure and services. Hon. Camillo Gonsalves, Minister of Finance, highlighted the critical role private companies play in advancing the nation’s digital agenda.
“Digicel has been an invaluable partner in our efforts to enhance connectivity and improve access across the islands,” said Minister Gonsalves. “From expanding fiber-optic networks to promoting digital adoption in the private sector, their contributions align perfectly with the government’s vision of a digitally empowered St. Vincent and the Grenadines.”
The Government is also undertaking significant projects to digitise public services, including court records, health data, and the creation of a centralized data center. These initiatives aim to enhance efficiency, security, and accessibility for all Vincentians.
“We are committed to building a digital ecosystem that fosters innovation, supports businesses, and improves lives,” added Gonsalves. “This partnership between the public and private sectors is key to unlocking the full potential of digital transformation.”
The Government invites local businesses to embrace this vision, taking small, manageable steps to incorporate digital tools that can optimize operations and boost profitability.
