Mobile application to improve communication and preserve the environment
Nikšić is the first municipality in Montenegro that joined the development of digital solutions for innovative cities and supported the use of the "City&Me" mobile application.
"It is an application that not only strengthens transparent two-way communication between the municipality and citizens, but is an exceptional tool for promoting environmental protection. The 'City&Me' application enables citizens to better interact with local institutions and public companies, as well as concrete benefits through active participation in the creation and decision-making processes. In addition, by using the application, citizens will be able to earn rewards for their social activism", says the announcement of the company "City and Me", which implemented the aforementioned application together with the Municipality of Nikšić.
As they explained, through the application, citizens will be able to be rewarded for activities such as walking, cycling and recycling, to report problems they see in the city, to vote in city polls, to promote the preservation of the environment and city greenery, and to be motivated to visit educational and cultural events on the premises.
They invited citizens to download the application and join the common goal - "to change the face of our municipality with small steps towards a better, sustainable future". The "City&Me" application is available for Android, Apple and Huawei devices and is free to use, and can be downloaded from the link: https://linktr.ee/cityandme.
The implementation project of the "City&Me" digital solution was supported by the Government of Serbia and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
