The draft law on electronic administration seeks to improve the ambience in which public administration will be at the service of citizens and businesses, by which citizens and businesspeople will communicate with public administration at any time and from any place. This was announced at a roundtable organized by the Ministry of Public Administration on the occasion of a public hearing on the Draft Law on Electronic Administration. At the Round Table, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration Dejan Abazovic and Head of the Directorate for Interoperability of Registries and Regulatory Affairs, Bojana Bajić, spoke.

The Government of Montenegro is working on closing the digital gap with the countries of the European Union by implementing the Strategy for the Development of the Information Society by 2020. The main goal of this project and the vision of the Government of Montenegro is for the new generation of services to be both geographically and economically accessible to all citizens of Montenegro, no matter where in the country they live and what business they are doing. These facts were a part of an introduction speech, given by State Secretary at the Ministry of Economy, Milan Srzentic.

The .ME Registry Passes Eight Hundred Thousand Domain Registrations Milestone

The .ME Registry announced today that its ccTLD has passed 800,000 domain registrations. Since its launch in 2008 Montenegro’s country code domain has been marketed as a premier choice for building a personal brand and it quickly became one of the favorite new extensions among creative individuals who want to stand out online. The domain has continued to grow steadily in response to the global trend of nurturing personal identity online.

Montenegro's Ministry of Economy and Crnogorski Telekom has signed a MoU for Digital Montenegro, which represents a framework for further development of the infrastructure, the Next Generation Networks and the application of concrete ICT systems, in order to improve the efficiency of services and quality of life of citizens.
