A framework agreement was signed on Monday in Tunis, between the National Computer Center (CNI) and the public operator “Tunisie Télécom” for the establishment of an integrated, secure e-government network that will link between different ministries.

The agreement aims at setting up in each ministry, a virtual, modern and secure network through IP-MPLS techniques (Multi Protocol Label Switching), and connecting departments to the network of secure optic fibers by a single broadband line “ADSL on IP MPLS”, with the required fluidity and speed.

The project, will also enable the various ministries to exchange data and information, as well as offering telephony and video-conference services.

The integrated office network also provides additional services for users of the e-yearbook, e-mail, electronic exchange of documents between central registers and divisions through the application dubbed “Amen”, as well as the exchange of citizens’ claims (”SIGER2″).

The agreement was signed by Mr. Montassar Ouaili, Tunisie Télécom’s Chief Executive Officer, and Mr.Tahar Hfaiedh, the Director General of CNI, during a ceremony chaired by the Minister of Communication Technologies, Mr Hadj Gley.
