The Government of the Commonwealth of Dominica is operationalizing 15 innovative hubs nationwide through the Caribbean Digital Transformation Project. The Roseau Valley Hub was recently commissioned and will provide services to the Roseau Valley Constituency residents.

Chief Personnel Officer, Gloria Joseph has emphasized that it is not business as usual for the public sector as the use of information technology continues to transform the way Government services are delivered.

Just Thursday, March 31st, 2016 two new e services were introduced in the Ministry of Justice, Immigration and National Security.

The Government of Dominica through the Information, Communication And Technology Unit is utilizing mobile applications to enable citizens to understand and access important information and services.

On Monday, October 19th, Government launched its Internal Directory Mobile App which is the newest addition to Government’s e- government program which began in 2009.

The Hon. Minister for Information, Science, Telecommunications and Technology is Kelver Darroux.

The Ministry of National Security and the Information Communication Technology Unit have launched a Drivers and Automobile Information System and a Dominica Financial Intelligence Unit E-Filing System.

These applications developed by the Information and Communication Unit represent the newest additions to the e -government programme which commenced in 2009.

The government of Dominica has committed itself to a programme of Public Administration Modernization as part of its Public Sector Reform Strategy. Included in this modernization is a comprehensive programme geared at implementing and promoting e-governance. The programme incorporates a number of activities to include the formulation of an ICT/E-Government Policy and Action Plan.

An essential part of the e-Government initiative is the development of a website for the government of Dominica. Initial funding for the development of the government's website was made possible in 2006 by the Caribbean Open Trade Support Programme. Additional funding was received from the ICT Development Programme SFA 2005 in June 2008.
